Environmental Permitting Support (Texas)

The Louis Berger Group is providing comprehensive environmental support to Wind Tex Energy, LLC for a proposed 61.2-MW wind farm located in Scurry County, Texas.  Berger is providing technical support and regulatory coordination to obtain federal, state and local approvals and permits necessary to support the proposed construction and operation schedule.   

Approvals and coordination underway include federal (Federal Aviation Administration and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service); state of Texas (State Historical Commission, Natural Resource Conservation Commission, Parks & Wildlife); and support to the developer in consultations with local agencies.

Berger is working with project participants WKN (development and financing) and Vestas (turbines and construction) to develop a comprehensive project description and technical specifications.  Berger also provides support in coordinating with local landowners, GIS applications and products, support and materials for Power Purchase Agreement negotiations, and on-site support.
